When the Lab started in 1993, its founders came from some of the world's largest and best-known Houston consulting firms. The projects it takes on typically begin with a blank slate, so they're always so different from any other company's work. The Lab's founders had a different idea: To create an approach using research into what has worked at actual companies. The next was to capture this research in a database that can be applied immediately to other companies to speed results and cut down risks.
